I am apprehensive?  Will a colonic hurt?
This is a very common concern. With an experienced gentle practitioner, a colonic is actually invigorating.  The only slight discomfort that may occur is gas moving through the colon.

Is the procedure safe?
Yes. Aglow colonics use sterilized instruments and filtered water.  No pressurized machines are used and the treatment can be stopped at any time.

How should I prepare for the treatment?
It is best to eat lightly the night before and nothing three hours prior to coming in.  Heavy proteins (e.g. meat and fish) and soy should be avoided the evening prior and the day of your appointment.

How will I feel after my colonic? Will I be able to go on with my day?
95% of my clients feel light and energized after a treatment.  You will be able to work, exercise and relax with a much greater sense of enjoyment and ease.

What can I eat after a treatment?
A small vegetable juice is recommended right after the treatment. Well-balanced whole food meals will continue to facilitate the cleansing process. It is important to avoid alcohol for 24 hours.

How long does a treatment take?
Approximately 1 hour.

How many sessions will I need?
Your health history and goals will determine a program that works for you.

Will a colonic upset my intestinal flora?
The truth is that the washing out of putrefied material in the large intestine, increases the good intestinal flora. Good bacteria can only breed in a healthy environment, which has been relieved of putrefaction and its accompanying harmful bacteria.
